The Mystery of the Presence: God in the World and in Man
9th International Conference on the Legacy of Metropolitan Anthony
“Prayer is born of the discovery that the world has depths; that we are not only surrounded by visible things but that we are also immersed in and penetrated by invisible things. And this invisible world is both the presence of God, the supreme, sublime reality, and our own deepest truth. Visible and invisible are not in opposition; neither can they be juxtaposed like in an addition sum. They are present simultaneously, as fire is present in red hot iron”.

Crises and our life in Christ
Online seminar of the legacy of Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh
Crises are events that often question all our past. At 1990 Sourozh Diocesan conference Andrew Sherwood, one of the speakers of the current seminar, pointed out that a crisis can be looked at not only as judgement but as an opportunity. It that so? If Christ is really present in our life, how that affects our attitude to crises we face?

Crisis: Judgment or Opportunity
8th International Conference on the Legacy of Metropolitan Anthony
‘In Greek, “crisis” means “judgment”. Throughout history we have been in a state of crisis, that is, under the judgment of history, which is ultimately God's actions towards us. Every era is a time of crashes and renewals. All that seems to be will perish; all that is false will perish. Only the whole, the true will stand, only what really is will stand, and not what merely seems to be.’

“AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH…” SACRED MATERIALISM
The 6th International Conference Dedicated to Metropolitan Anthony's Legacy
“I think it is not untrue to say that of all world outlooks Christianity is the most materialistic. It is not only world outlook which does not simply recognize the existence of matter, but sees matter as endowed with an eternal vocation, called to be in God as completely and perfectly as man – a world outlook that recognizes in matter such greatness that it is capable of uniting to the Godhead without ceasing to be itself.”  In detail

FACING REALITY 2015
The 5th International Conference Dedicated to Metropolitan Anthony's Legacy
Reality is more than truth... Reality is both what we know and all that we do not know. Only one occasion in human history sees the moment when truth and reality coincide. That moment is in the incarnation of Christ, because he is God, the plenitude, the fullness of creation, and at the same time the perfect expression of it. (T.S. Eliot Lectures; God and Man)  In detail
